Product Introduction (What is Organic Lime Powder?)

KH Health's organic lime powder is made from limes that are grown without any chemicals. We have our farms and we also work with other farmers to make sure we have material all year round.

The final powder, which is light green or yellow-green in color. It smells good, like limes. We do not add anything to the powder. It dissolves in water very easily, which makes it great for use in food and drinks.

We test KH Health's lime powder to make sure it is safe. We do the tests ourselves. We also get other labs to test it. It is safety rules for things like pesticides and heavy metals. We make it in two different ways. We either freeze-dry it or spray-dry it. This means we can make sure the lime powder is just right for what you need.

     Product Benefits

    1. Natural Vitamin C Source: Superior to Synthetic Ascorbic Acid

Matrix Effect & Bioavailability: While synthetic ascorbic acid is chemically identical to natural vitamin C, the natural form in whole foods like lime comes within a complex matrix of flavonoids, pectin, and other phytonutrients. Studies suggest that this matrix can enhance the absorption and, more importantly, the retention of vitamin C in the body. A key 2008 study published in Nutrition found that a natural vitamin C extract from kiwi fruit had significantly greater bioavailability and longer retention time in plasma compared to synthetic ascorbic acid. The same principle applies to citrus.

Synergistic Antioxidant Effect (The Flavonoid Partnership): This is the cornerstone of the benefit. Vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant, but it can become a pro-oxidant in the presence of free metal ions. Flavonoids (like the hesperidin and eriocitrin in limes) "recycle" oxidized vitamin C, regenerating its antioxidant capacity. They also chelate (bind to) pro-oxidant metal ions, preventing the vitamin C from degrading them. This synergy creates a more sustained and effective antioxidant network than isolated ascorbic acid alone.

    2. Citric Acid: Metabolic and Renal Benefits

Energy Metabolism (Krebs Cycle): Citric acid is the first molecule formed in the citric acid cycle (Krebs cycle), the central hub of aerobic energy production in the mitochondria. While dietary citric acid is not the direct fuel, it contributes to the body's pool of organic acids that support this metabolic pathway.

Alkalinizing Urine & Kidney Stone Prevention: This is a well-established physiological effect. When citric acid is metabolized, it is oxidized to bicarbonate, which increases urinary pH (making it less acidic). High urinary citrate is a well-known inhibitor of calcium oxalate stone formation—the most common type of kidney stone. Citrate binds to urinary calcium, making it unavailable to bind with oxalate. A 2014 review in Nature Reviews Urology confirms that hypocitraturia (low urinary citrate) is a major risk factor for stone formation, and dietary citrate from citrus fruits is a first-line preventive measure.

Promotes Mineral Absorption: Citric acid enhances the bioavailability of minerals. It acts as a chelating agent, forming soluble complexes with minerals like calcium, magnesium, and iron. These citrate-mineral complexes are more soluble in the alkaline environment of the small intestine, preventing them from precipitating and increasing their absorption.

    3. Flavonoids: Hesperidin & Eriocitrin

Anti-inflammatory: Flavonoids modulate the activity of pro-inflammatory enzymes like COX-2 and iNOS (inducible nitric oxide synthase) and suppress the NF-κB pathway, a master regulator of inflammation. By reducing oxidative stress in endothelial cells, they help quell chronic, low-grade inflammation.

Anti-viral: Many citrus flavonoids have demonstrated anti-viral properties. They can inhibit viral replication at various stages, including viral entry and RNA replication. For example, hesperidin has been studied for its ability to inhibit the activity of certain viral proteases.

Vascular Health (Vasoprotective): This is a flagship benefit. Flavonoids improve endothelial function by stimulating the production of nitric oxide, a molecule that relaxes blood vessels, leading to improved blood flow and reduced blood pressure. They also strengthen capillaries by reducing their fragility and permeability—a key benefit for conditions like chronic venous insufficiency, hemorrhoids, and easy bruising.

    Product Application

    Immune Support Effervescent Tablets
Leveraging the reaction between the citric acid found in lime powder and sodium bicarbonate to generate effervescence, these tablets simultaneously deliver a high dose of Vitamin C. The refreshing taste effectively masks the off-flavors of other nutritional ingredients (such as zinc and echinacea), thereby enhancing palatability.

    Detox & Alkalizing Powders
Although lime tastes acidic to the palate, it exhibits alkaline properties once metabolized within the body. It is frequently formulated in combination with apple cider vinegar powder, spirulina, and turmeric powder. This blend helps balance the body's pH levels and promotes liver detoxification.

    Sports Electrolyte Mixes
Serving as a natural acidulant—replacing artificial citric acid—lime powder is combined with sea salt, coconut water powder, and potassium and magnesium preparations.
It provides a refreshing taste that alleviates post-workout dry mouth, and, being free of chemical additives, it meets "natural" labeling standards.

    Weight Management & Metabolic Capsules/Powders
Utilizing the fat-metabolism-boosting properties of citric acid, these products are often formulated alongside green tea extract and L-carnitine.
Format: Acidic beverage powders consumed before meals to increase satiety and aid digestion.

    "Beauty-from-Within" Oral Liquids/Powders
Vitamin C is an essential cofactor for collagen synthesis; lime powder significantly enhances the absorption and conversion efficiency of collagen. It is typically formulated in combination with collagen peptides and hyaluronic acid.

Q: Do you offer both freeze-drying and spray-drying processes? What is the difference between them?
A: Yes, we offer both. Freeze-drying preserves more heat-sensitive nutrients (such as Vitamin C) and fresh flavors, resulting in a more vibrant green color; it is ideal for premium beverages and health supplements. Spray-drying offers a cost advantage and excellent flowability, making it suitable for baking applications and large-scale industrial seasoning.

Q: Do your products contain anti-caking agents?
A: We can make a lime powder that does not have any of those additives.Alternatively, to prevent clumping,We can add a little bit of organic rice bran powder or silicon dioxide to stop it from getting lumpy depending on what the customer needs and what is allowed by law.

Q: Is your Organic Lime Powder made from the lime or just the juice?

A: Our product is made from the lime. We use the skin, the pulp and the juice to make a powder that has all the nutrients and fiber that you would get from eating a whole lime.

Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: Normally 25kg/drum. We also offer flexible MOQs to accommodate both small startups and large manufacturers.

Q: Can you make the powder sizes?
A: Yes we can. We have a powder that's 80-100 mesh that we can sell right now. We can also make a powder that is 200 or 300 mesh if you need that.

Q: Can I get some free samples to try?
A: Yes, we can provide free samples.

Q: How do you make sure the powder is quality and safe to use?
A: We check the quality of the powder from the beginning to the end. We dry the limes at a temperature to keep the nutrients and color, and we test each batch to make sure it is safe and does not have any heavy metals or bad bacteria.
